Parishioners of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Southwark Lewisham Deanery, and other local community groups came together on Saturday at Hartley Hall, Holy Cross parish in Catford, at an event hosted by Caritas Southwark, looking at supporting and developing work with older people in the area.

John Colbey, head of Caritas Southwark said: "What was striking was the groundswell of enthusiasm to do something. Thanks you so much for generosity - giving your time and energy to make it happen."

Partners of the event were the Irish Chaplaincy, Anna Chaplaincy and the Diamond Club of Holy Cross Catholic Church Catford.

Over forty people gathered to discuss ways forward to better support older people across the area and we look forward to how this will develop in the coming months.
